Backing
Our cotton duck foundation is specially manufactured for ORD and is
unsurpassed for its strength and durability. Made specially for our
rugs. This is a very heavy duty backing that allows the punching of
our yarn without the use of a frame. It also adds to the durability
of the rug when completed. These rugs are intended for use on the
floor. The designs are hand silk screened . The fibers may discolor
slightly when exposed to light. This has no affect on the end product,
a gorgeous thick piled rug. Since the backing is hand silk-screened
and hemmed each rug is unique and may have slight variations in the
size. A completed rug will grow a couple inches in each direction
as the punched yarn stretches the backing.
